Initial Introduction Idea Synopsis

A young girl and her family are about to spend the day at the seaside, she is asked nonchanantely by her mother to get a folder she has left in her desk, that needs dropping to her friends on the way. The young girl goes in the house and looks through her mother’s desk to find a box full of letters, cards and money, one for every year she has been born. She opens the cards and see’s a handwriting she doesn’t recognize, the letters and cards are addressed to her yet she has never seen them before. Someone has signed the cards with the name ‘Dad’, she is confused and her emotions are conflicted, who is this imposter claiming to be her father, and is he telling the truth. She walks back out to the family car and confronts her mother with the letters and cards, wanting to know the truth. Her mother, with a horrified look on her face, looks her child in the eye and says ‘Okay I’ll tell you everything’.
